Education
Data and AI skills are among the most in-demand in today's workforce. Data Elevates designs and delivers training programs, workshops, and curriculum that build practical, job-ready data skills for individuals, communities, and institutions. Every program is built around the tools, workflows, and real-world problems that participants actually encounter in their work.

Broadening Participation of Veterans in the STEM Workforce Through Service Learning
Client: National Science Foundation
Veterans transitioning to civilian careers bring discipline, analytical thinking, and mission focus to everything they do, but access to the data and AI skills that high-demand civilian roles increasingly require has not kept pace with that potential.
Data Elevates leads the Impacting Communities Through Data program, a NSF-funded research and service learning initiative that builds data analytics and visualization skills through real community-based projects in San Diego County. Participants do not work on real community challenges in earthquake risk, sustainable mobility, and environmental health for neighborhoods in National City and San Diego County, producing work that matters to the communities they serve while building a portfolio that matters to employers. Developed in collaboration with San Diego State University and the University of Houston, the program also advances new research on how service learning as a pedagogy builds lasting STEM career readiness for underrepresented populations in data fields.

Data Visualization and AI Bootcamps (Aprendo Data, Impacta Data,
Red Impacta Data, and Avanzando con AI)
Client: USAID, Banco de Chile, Inter-American Foundation, data.org
Data Elevates has designed and delivered data and AI skills training for underserved communities in the region, building practical, job-ready capacity in data analysis, visualization, SQL, and generative AI.
Aprendo Data, funded by USAID, trained migrant women in data skills and connected graduates to employment opportunities through JobTech events. Impacta Data, funded by Banco de Chile, expanded that work with deeper technical curriculum and direct employer network connections through CDI Chile. Red Impacta Data, funded by the Inter-American Foundation, delivered digital skills training alongside employment networking, ultimately launching a migrant women-led career network that now operates independently. And through Avanzando con AI, funded through a data.org and Microsoft Generative AI Skills Challenge award, Data Elevates developed and delivered a GenAI workplace productivity course for Venezuelan migrant women in Chile, designed as a free MOOC for Spanish-speaking audiences worldwide

Data Governance Accelerator Coaching & Facilitation
Client: Patrick J McGovern Foundation
Nonprofits and social impact organizations collect enormous amounts of data but too few have the governance frameworks to manage it responsibly, consistently, or strategically.
Data Elevates partnered with the Patrick J. McGovern Foundation to design and deliver the Data Governance Accelerator, a year-long cohort-based program built around the six fundamental pillars of data governance. Participants move from foundational understanding to actionable roadmaps , developing the policies, processes, and organizational structures that make ethical and effective data management possible at the organizational level. The cohort model is intentional: organizations learn alongside peers facing similar challenges, sharing solutions and building the kind of institutional knowledge that does not come from a workshop alone. By the end of the program every participating organization has a data governance roadmap they built themselves, understand how to implement, and have the peer network to sustain.
