Economic Growth

Building economic opportunity in a data-driven world requires both the right skills and the right systems. Data Elevates delivers both by partnering with communities and organizations in the US and around the world to build data workforce capacity, strengthen organizational data infrastructure, and create the conditions for more participation in the modern economy.

Data Maturity Cohort Coaching and Facilitation

Client: data.org, in partnership with Microsoft

Black-serving social impact organizations across the United States are doing critical work with limited resources and even more limited access to the data infrastructure that would help them do it better.

Data Elevates partnered with data.org and Microsoft to design and implement the Data Maturity Cohort, a year-long program combining interactive workshops and personalized organizational coaching to strengthen how these organizations collect, manage, and use data. Participants move from foundational concepts to advanced strategies, developing ethical data practices, data governance frameworks, and the organizational confidence to sustain what they build. The cohort model creates a peer learning environment where organizations share challenges and develop solutions together.

Rapid Data Maturity Assessment and Organizational Development

Client: Fundación Capital

Fundación Capital is an edu-tech NGO building digital citizenship across Latin America and beyond but to grow its impact it needed a clearer picture of where its own data systems stood and where they needed to go.

Data Elevates partnered with Fundación Capital to design and deliver a comprehensive Rapid Data Maturity Assessment, surfacing gaps in how the organization's people, processes, and technology were working together to support data-driven operations. The assessment became the foundation for a full organizational data strategy, prioritizing employee data literacy and skill building, developing global core indicators, and piloting data pipelines and a data warehouse to connect disparate program data sources into a unified system that could support on-demand global reporting. What started as an assessment became a transformation.

D4WN, Business Intelligence for the Informal Workforce

Client: data.org

Mozambique's informal economy is generating data every day — but the workers at the center of it have never had access to the insights that data could offer them.

D4WN is a platform co-created by Data Elevates alongside Fundación Capital and UX IT in Mozambique to change that. Built on top of data generated by two local digital platforms serving informal workers, Biscate and Com-Hector, D4WN analyzes labor market activity and translates it into personalized insights for workers, helping them make better decisions about career choices, skill development, and personal advancement. For a workforce of 180,000 informal workers the platform represents something that has rarely existed before: data about their work, in their hands, designed to serve them. The goal is not just better data for policymakers but better lives for the workers generating it.
